  • Local User Events & Reminders: Any notes, reminders, or events created within the app are stored exclusively on your device using local storage (Room Database). This data is never sent to external servers or third parties.
  • Preferences & Settings: Your customized preferences (e.g., theme selection, language choice, dark mode toggle) are saved locally on your device using Android Shared Preferences / DataStore.

2. Device Permissions

The app may request standard Android system permissions strictly to provide core features:

  • Post Notifications (Android 13+): Used solely to send local scheduled alerts and reminders for Buddhist holy days (Sil days), national holidays, and user-added events.
  • Schedule Exact Alarms: Used to trigger localized notification alarms for events at precise user-selected times.

3. Third-Party Services & Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share any user data with third parties. The app operates locally on your device and does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs that track your activity across other apps or websites.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Since all data (reminders, notes, and app settings) resides entirely on your device:

  • You can clear your data at any time through the app settings or via Android system settings (Settings > Apps > Khmer Calendar > Storage > Clear Data).
  • Uninstalling the application will automatically permanently delete all stored local data and preferences from your device.

5. Children's Privacy

Our application is suitable for all ages, including children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children or anyone else.

6. Security

We value your trust. Because no data leaves your device, your personal reminders and preferences remain secure within Android's sandboxed local application storage.
